Lil Wayne Says "Goodbye" With over 30,000 watching...

Convicted rapper Lil Wayne said his goodbyes from a studio last night before turning himself in today for sentencing in a Manhattan courtroom. Wayne pled guilty last October to carrying a concealed weapon. He will spend at least 8 months inside Riker’s Island prison.

“I’m out this bitch. To all my fans, my real fans, I really, really, really truly love you. I love you with all of me, for real. I’ll probably be loving everything else because I love you so much. Thank you from the bottom [of my heart]. Do not forget about me ’cause I will forever think about you, and I cannot wait for you to see me again. I’m out.”

Haiti In CRISIS! GOD BLESS THEM ALL.

The following is a statement that was sent to GlobalGrind from Wyclef Jean in the wake of the horrible 7.0 hurricane that struck Haiti on Tuesday night:

Haiti faced a natural disaster of unprecedented proportion, an earthquake unlike anything the country has ever experienced.

The magnitude 7.0 earthquake – and several very strong aftershocks – struck only 10 miles from Port-au-Prince.

I cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is, and idle hands will only make this tragedy worse. The over 2 million people in Port-au-Prince tonight face catastrophe alone. We must act now.

President Obama has already said that the U.S. stands ‘ready to assist’ the Haitian people. The U.S. Military is the only group trained and prepared to offer that assistance immediately. They must do so as soon as possible. The international community must also rise to the occasion and help the Haitian people in every way possible.”

Real name: Supreme Williams
Place of birth: Houston, Texas, United States
Notes: Supreme Williams, better known by his stage name Short Dawg is the latest artist to sign with Young Money Entertainment. He is mainly known for his verse on Lil Wayne’s “Me And My Drank” record and his nickname is Elvis Freshley.

Now I have been on Short Dawg for a minute when it comes to rapping. I met Short a while back at the Core D.J's Conference, back in 2005, and I knew then he was a force to be Fuc*ed with. He is definitely very talented.. Short was signed to Def Jam back in 2005 as part of the Russell Simmons Music Group, and later moved over to So So Def when Jermaine Dupri had an executive seat with the company. After years of waiting, nothing ever happened, and he was finally granted his release.

He has also been a writer on Bow wow's album's and has worked with some of the heavy weights of the game, from Bun B to Drake. He is a Rookie to new fans, but to anyone that has been watching music closely, he has definitely put in just as much work as the best of them.

In 2007, Short became friends with a heavy weight that would change his life and career and give him a home with the love and backing he needed as an ARTIST, not just a writer. When Short and Lil Wayne met, he was writing for Bow Wow and Lil Wayne asked him, "why wasn't he rapping". After hearing Short's rhymes, Lil Wayne immediately got behind Short Dawg's music to back him in his career and welcome him to the Young Money Family. All I can say people is watch out for this young man.. Ladies not only is he soft spoken, but he isn't bad too look at as well. "Have you seen those eye's?" LOL, BEAUTIFUL! And his Teeth are perfect!!
